Excerpts from her Story

Situation

COVID-19 has been a unique situation for all. Not only has it increased economic problems and health issues but also social distancing has been a stress for all. Most of the corporate professionals are working from remote with families all bundled in one place. Apart from the physical distance, working from home also means a complete relook to all the ways of delivery and engagement. The HR personnel are more involved to find creative and pragmatic ways to support the workforce and help them de-stress. Specific engagement through art is an endeavor towards this, taking into cognition the limited resources and inevitable change situation demands.

Problem

Rajashree Nedungadi client, a corporate organization too was looking for different ways to keep their workforce morale high through some innovative learning and workshops. The problem in hand called for understanding the resources, delivery, and engagement that is disruptive not just professionally but personally too.

Solution

Rajashree Nedungadi ‘s tremendous experience and outlook supported. Taking into cognizance all the options and the audiences who mostly were the executives of the organization, the doodle workshop was chosen and suggested. It is therapeutic. The themes chosen were like landscape, birds, leaves, etc. Coffee painting too was popular, as is easily available with everyone. The sessions were intending to engage the audience, conveying that art is easy, doable and no experience or technical skill is required. The focus was to make it easy by following a step by step format. A lot of thought also went to identify resources that were easily available stuff in homes.

Outcome

The workshop was a hit and was well taken with the knowledge imparted to not only the client’s workforce/executives but their other family/ kids etc. Most of them made some artwork and shared it.

Engagement to work on the fear that art can't be done can be eradicated from the mind of the participants with due diligence. There are steps to be followed and art becomes therapy without making the participant
conscious of it.

And it’s a Customer Success when not only executives take time off for recreation but families too are involved and they also learn to express themselves through art.

Key Takeaway

Customer Success through an effective customer engagement strategy means that you understand your customers, intentions, emotions, and motivations. You understand, “what” is their state of being at home, when they are trying to manage work, family, and kids with limited resources. And Customers include all- your external customers, your stakeholders, and above all your internal customers or Employees.

Another point of attention here is that as an employer, difficult times like this pandemic need more focus on internal customers. Focus on their well being and healthy spirits can go a long way for the organizations, to not only create winning solutions but to thrive and survive. As there is saying that one might not remember what you did when everything was good but will surely remember what you did when it was all dark.
